Royal Orchid Signs Experiential Regenta Resort in Mysore
Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. (ROHL) has unveiled a significant addition to its Regenta brand with the signing of Regenta Resort Tropical Village in Mysore. Developed under the franchise model, the resort reflects ROHL’s asset-light approach and offers a culturally immersive, eco-conscious hospitality experience in one of India’s most heritage-rich cities.
Nestled in a tranquil setting, the resort will comprise 35 cottages, each themed around the cultural traditions, architecture, and cuisines of the seven continents. A highlight is the Mangala Kutira block—12 rooms designed around India’s Pancha Bhootas and Pancha Tattva, offering guests an insightful journey into ancient Indian philosophy. The resort blends global influences with traditional Indian spirituality.
Commenting on the signing, Arjun Baljee, President, Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd, said, “Mysore has evolved into a thriving hospitality hub for domestic and international travellers alike owing to the city’s pleasant weather, cultural heritage, booming IT and Manufacturing industry and close proximity to Bangalore and other popular getaway destinations including Coorg, Kabini, Wayanad and Bandipur. While the city has always been close to our heart as it houses some of our landmark properties, we wanted to introduce a fresh and exciting experience for our guests. A large part of our focus lies on prioritising wellness, cultural richness, and sustainability which reflects our overarching vision for a more mindful and responsible approach to hospitality and the new signing is a testament to that vision. The new experiential resort truly embodies our commitment to providing our guests with a holistic and enriching experience and we are certain it will be a game changer and will create lasting impressions. We are excited to collaborate with Mahesh, the owner of Tropical Village to bring this concept driven hospitality experience to life.”
Guests can look forward to diverse culinary options, an eco-friendly swimming pool, a dedicated yoga hall, and spaces for traditional games. Additionally, a 12,000 sq. ft. outdoor lawn will host cultural events and private gatherings, enhancing its appeal for both leisure and celebrations.
According to Arjun Baljee, President of ROHL, and Mahesh, owner of Tropical Village, the resort represents a new milestone in sustainable luxury and aims to tap into Mysore’s rising tourism potential. It raises the bar for mindful hospitality in the region.
