Pune to Get 4 New Vande Bharat Trains: Routes, Fares & Timings Explained

Indian Railways has announced the addition of four new Vande Bharat Express trains from Pune, promising quicker, more comfortable journeys for residents and visitors alike. Currently, Pune operates two Vande Bharat trains—to Kolhapur and Hubballi. With the latest development, this number will rise to six, enhancing connectivity across key cities.

What’s New?

The upcoming high-speed trains will connect Pune to Shegaon, Vadodara, Secunderabad, and Belagavi, offering a significant upgrade in convenience and travel time.

Pune to Shegaon

As per the India Rail report, this new train will run entirely within Maharashtra, stopping at Daund, Ahmednagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Jalna. The route is designed to ease intercity travel and improve accessibility between important urban centres in the state.

Pune to Vadodara

Commuters traveling between Pune and Vadodara can rejoice! The new Vande Bharat will slash journey times from nine hours to just six or seven hours. Key stops include Lonavala, Panvel, Vapi, and Surat, making this a fast and efficient travel option for both business and leisure.

Pune to Secunderabad

Heading south? The new Pune–Secunderabad route will make North-South connectivity easier and quicker. With stops at Daund, Solapur, and Gulbarga, this service will cut down the current 10-hour trip by 2–3 hours, offering more time at your destination and less on the train.

Pune to Belagavi

Another exciting addition is the Pune–Belagavi Vande Bharat, with intermediate halts at Satara, Sangli, and Miraj. Expected ticket prices will range between ₹1,500 and ₹2,000, depending on the travel class and destination.

With these four new trains, Indian Railways is not just expanding its network—it’s redefining what fast, efficient, and comfortable rail travel means for Pune.
