Ananta Hotels names Rupam Das as its new Chief Operations Officer

Ananta Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Rupam Das as the new Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Ananta Global Hotels, marking a pivotal phase in the brand’s evolution. With nearly three decades of leadership experience across India’s top hospitality groups, Das brings a strategic, growth-driven approach to strengthen Ananta’s expanding footprint.

Leadership Responsibilities and Vision

In his new role, Das will oversee operations across Ananta’s growing portfolio while steering strategic expansion initiatives. His responsibilities span the group’s four distinct verticals:

• Eco-luxury resorts
• Wildlife lodges
• Wellness sanctuaries
• Culturally immersive retreats and business hotels across tier-I, tier-II and tier-III cities

Aligned with the group’s rapid growth trajectory, he will play a key role in launching 50 new properties globally within the next five years. He will work closely with investors, promoters and senior leadership to ensure long-term value creation and operational excellence across all touchpoints.

Before joining Ananta, Das served as Senior Director of Business Development at The Clarks Hotels & Resorts for nearly 15 years, managing a portfolio of over 100 hotels across India and Southeast Asia. His past roles at ITC Hotels, Cambay Group and Panoramic Resorts reinforced his strengths in:

• Deal structuring
• Revenue optimisation
• Guest-centric operations
