FES Cafe raises ₹3 crore to fuel expansion plans

FES Cafe, a dessert-led café chain aiming to reshape India’s café scene around indulgence and community, has secured ₹3 crore in seed funding from serial entrepreneur Aakash Anand and his venture studio, Wolfpack Labs.

This funding milestone is set to accelerate FES Cafe’s national expansion, with plans to reach over 100 locations by FY 2027.

Founded by Vidur Mayor, FES Cafe is carving out a niche as India’s first scalable café chain with a “dessert-first” identity—differentiating itself in a coffee-dominated market. Designed as a vibrant third-space for Gen Z and Millennials, the café offers a 100% eggless menu with cookies, puddings, innovative cakes, seasonal desserts, and savory dishes. These offerings are paired with community-driven events and immersive brand experiences.

The newly raised capital will support the brand’s entry into Delhi this July, followed by a second Gurgaon outlet in a corporate zone in September. A third café is slated for a December debut in Jaipur.

Beyond its physical café rollout, FES is also building delivery-first kitchens and exploring packaged dessert formats to extend its reach. The company will adopt a hybrid Company-Owned Company-Operated (COCO) and Franchisee-Invested Company-Operated (FICO) model to facilitate rapid scaling.

“FES was born from a simple belief: desserts deserve better,” said Vidur Mayor.  “We wanted to put gooey cookies, innovative sweets, and indulgence right at the center of culture. With Wolfpack’s backing, we’re building not just a café chain, but a national network of dessert-first third spaces.”

Within its first three months, FES reported 3x revenue growth, achieved 29.8% store-level EBITDA by month four, and recorded a 347% rise in delivery revenue. As of June 2025, the brand is EBITDA-positive company-wide, with over 10,000 monthly orders.

Wolfpack will also assist FES with product development and strategic partnerships aligned with India’s evolving urban tastes.

“FES is building what India’s been waiting for: a true community Cafe brand with the buzz of a Central Perk (F.R.I.E.N.D.S show) and the business rigor to back it up,” said Aakash Anand, Lead investor, Wolfpack Labs. “From coffee raves to cult desserts, FES has all the right ingredients: a relatable brand, a loyal following, solid unit economics, and a founder with the hustle to scale nationwide.”
