FTCCI to Promote Local and Weekend Tourism in Telangana with New Initiatives

The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) has announced two exciting initiatives aimed at promoting local and weekend tourism across Hyderabad and Telangana. The initiatives, launched by the FTCCI Tourism Committee, are being organised in collaboration with the Telangana Tourism Department, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), and the National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM).

Collaborative Efforts to Boost Telangana’s Tourism Potential

The FTCCI Tourism Committee is taking proactive steps to highlight Telangana’s cultural, historical, and scenic diversity through engaging public campaigns. These initiatives aim to encourage both residents and visitors to explore the region’s hidden gems, weekend destinations, and unique attractions.

Speaking about the initiative, FTCCI officials said the collaboration between industry bodies, government departments, and civic agencies will play a pivotal role in positioning Telangana as a vibrant domestic tourism hub.

Introducing the “Hyderabad Junction Jewels” Photo Contest

One of the key highlights of the campaign is the “FTCCI Tourism Hyderabad Junction Jewels: Photo Contest on Traffic Junction Attractions”, designed to creatively showcase the artistic and cultural installations across Hyderabad’s prominent traffic junctions.

This contest invites photography enthusiasts and locals to capture the beauty and uniqueness of these spots, reflecting the city’s blend of tradition and modernity. Through this visual storytelling, FTCCI hopes to draw attention to how art and culture can transform everyday spaces into tourist attractions.

“Weekend Getaways of Hyderabad” Reel Contest Complementing the photo contest, FTCCI has also introduced the “FTCCI Tourism Weekend Getaways of Hyderabad: Reel Contest”, which encourages participants to create short, engaging videos (reels) highlighting quick weekend travel experiences around Hyderabad.

From scenic countryside escapes and cultural landmarks to adventure and wellness retreats, this contest aims to inspire spontaneous travel among urban residents while spotlighting lesser-known destinations across Telangana.

Encouraging Community Participation and Tourism Awareness

These contests are part of FTCCI’s broader mission to enhance community involvement in tourism promotion and increase awareness of the state’s diverse travel offerings. By tapping into digital platforms and visual storytelling, the FTCCI Tourism Committee seeks to create a buzz around local travel experiences, aligning with modern trends in tourism marketing.

A Step Towards Sustainable Tourism Development

Through these creative campaigns, FTCCI aims to support Telangana’s tourism industry by promoting sustainable, community-driven travel. The initiative also aligns with the government’s goal to make Hyderabad and Telangana leading tourist destinations in South India, blending urban charm with natural and cultural richness.
