Ginger Makes Its Debut in Meghalaya
The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a new Ginger hotel in Shillong, marking the brand’s much-anticipated debut in Meghalaya. This greenfield project reinforces IHCL’s strategic expansion across India’s Northeast, catering to both business and leisure travellers.

A 90-Key Hotel Designed for Modern Travellers
The upcoming 90-key Ginger Shillong will showcase the brand’s signature lean-luxe hospitality. Key facilities will include:
- Qmin, the brand’s signature all-day dining restaurant
- A stylish bar
- A meeting room for business travellers
- A fully equipped fitness centre
The hotel is set to cater to both corporate and leisure guests seeking comfort, convenience, and contemporary design.
A Strategic Partnership Supporting Shillong’s Growth
