HRAWI Conducts Food Safety Training for Hospitality Staff in Mumbai
The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India), known as HRAWI, recently conducted FSSAI’s Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) on July 10–11, 2025, at Hotel Le Grande, near Mumbai International Airport. The session welcomed 67 hospitality professionals, providing them with essential knowledge on food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and sustainable waste management techniques.
The training was delivered by subject matter experts including Dr. Pasupathy V. from Parikshan, Manasi Parab from HRAWI, Anagh Nawathe from Acube Service, Neha Ajit Salian from Hotel Orritel West, and Ayushi Garodia from The Shalimar Hotel. The programme aimed to enhance the practical skills of hospitality personnel, ensuring compliance with FSSAI regulations and promoting higher hygiene benchmarks across establishments.
With this session, HRAWI has now trained and certified a total of 3,571 professionals through its FoSTaC initiative. The association continues to lead efforts in spreading food safety awareness and encouraging best practices among hotels and restaurants in Western India. These training programmes not only support regulatory compliance but also help elevate trust and service standards throughout the hospitality industry.
