Scheduled to open in early 2026, the hotel will be located in Panchkula, marking a significant milestone in IHG’s strategy to strengthen its luxury footprint across high-growth Indian markets.

This signing represents the brand’s first entry into India under the Vignette Collection portfolio and underscores IHG’s focus on destinations with strong year-round business and social demand.

First Vignette Collection Hotel in India Takes Shape in Panchkula

The upcoming hotel will be located in Panchkula, part of the fast-growing Chandigarh Metropolitan Region, a prominent tri-city cluster comprising Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali. The region is an important economic hub, home to IT parks, automotive companies, pharmaceutical and manufacturing units, public sector enterprises, and leading national institutions.

Its consistent demand from corporate travellers, social events, and celebrations makes Panchkula a strategic choice for IHG’s luxury expansion in North India.

The Vignette Collection hotel in Panchkula will feature 145 rooms, including 11 suites, designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers. Planned facilities include:

  • Four dining venues, including a signature restaurant, lobby lounge, and private dining space
  • Swimming pool, spa, and fitness centre
  • Curated retail offerings and ample parking

Over 2,200 square metres of meeting and event space, targeting corporate conferences, social gatherings, and destination weddings

Currently, IHG operates 51 hotels across six brands in India and has a robust pipeline of 80 hotels scheduled to open over the next three to five years highlighting the group’s long-term commitment to the Indian hospitality market.
