IHG to Add 420 Rooms with Two New Hotels in Bengaluru
IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, has announced a significant expansion of its footprint in Bengaluru. The company has signed a management agreement with Hotel Chetan International to develop two new hotels in the city, which are expected to open in the first quarter of 2028. Together, the properties will add over 420 keys to IHG’s growing portfolio in India.
The New Hotels at KIADB Aerospace Park
The development includes two strategically positioned properties:
- Crowne Plaza Bengaluru KIADB Aerospace Park – a 210-key upscale hotel designed to cater to business and leisure travelers alike.
- Holiday Inn Express Bengaluru KIADB Aerospace Park – a 210-key property from IHG’s renowned Essentials Collection, offering smart, convenient stays for guests seeking comfort and efficiency.
Both hotels will be located in the KIADB Aerospace Park, a thriving hub that has emerged as a magnet for corporate, industrial, and social activities in Bengaluru.
Strategic Expansion in a High-Growth Market
Highlighting the importance of this move, Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our presence in Bengaluru with the addition of two strategically located hotels in the thriving KIADB Aerospace Park. This location is a key demand generator across business, leisure, and social segments.”
The development is aligned with IHG’s strategy of expanding its presence in India’s high-demand markets, catering to both domestic and international travelers.
A Boost for Bengaluru’s Hospitality Landscape
Bengaluru, often referred to as the Silicon Valley of India, has seen a consistent rise in tourism and business travel. The addition of these two hotels will not only enhance accommodation options in the region but also contribute to the city’s positioning as a global business and leisure destination.
With brands that range from luxury to essentials, IHG’s dual signing demonstrates its commitment to delivering diverse hospitality experiences tailored to evolving guest expectations.
