IndiGo Begins Daily Direct Flights Between Rewa and Indore

IndiGo has commenced daily, direct flights between Rewa and Indore, marking a significant milestone in enhancing regional air connectivity in Madhya Pradesh. With this launch, Rewa becomes IndiGo’s sixth destination in the state, joining Bhopal, Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur, and Khajuraho.

The new route is expected to open up air travel opportunities for many first-time flyers across the Vindhya region, making faster and more accessible transportation a reality for residents and businesses alike.

Reduced Travel Time and Improved Accessibility

Operated using IndiGo’s ATR aircraft, the direct Rewa–Indore service reduces travel time from nearly 10 hours by road to approximately 1.5 hours by air. This substantial reduction is set to benefit multiple sectors, including tourism, trade, healthcare, and education, by enabling quicker and more reliable connectivity between the two cities.

The route also reinforces IndiGo’s ongoing commitment to improving accessibility across emerging and underserved markets.

Gateway to Economic Growth in the Vindhya Region

Rewa serves as a strategic gateway to key districts such as Satna, Sidhi, and Singrauli, regions that are witnessing steady economic growth, rising investments, and rapid infrastructure development. The new air link is expected to further catalyse regional development by improving mobility for professionals, students, and medical travellers, while also supporting local industries.

IndiGo’s Vision for Emerging Destinations

Commenting on the launch, Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, said, “We are pleased to commence daily, direct flights between Rewa and Indore. This new service will facilitate faster travel for people across the state of Madhya Pradesh and connect them to the broader IndiGo network. At IndiGo, we remain committed to building direct connectivity to emerging destinations, strengthening local economies, and making air travel more accessible.”

Enhancing Tourism and Trade Connectivity

By directly linking Rewa with Indore one of central India’s key commercial and educational hubs the route is poised to drive tourism inflows, support business travel, and enable seamless onward connections through IndiGo’s extensive domestic network.
