IndiGo Begins Direct Flights from Hindon Airport to Eight Key Indian Cities
IndiGo is enhancing travel convenience for NCR flyers with the launch of direct flights from Hindon Airport, Uttar Pradesh, starting 20 July 2025. With this move, the airline brings eight new direct connections to key cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, and Varanasi. Hindon now becomes IndiGo’s 93rd domestic and 136th overall destination, reinforcing the airline’s growing presence in the National Capital Region — now the second airport it serves after Delhi.
For travellers from Ghaziabad, East Delhi, and Western Uttar Pradesh, this development means quicker airport access and more seamless travel options. With over 1500 weekly departures from Delhi alone, IndiGo’s expansive network continues to provide greater access to India’s top cultural, business, and tourism hubs.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, said: “We are pleased to announce seamless connections from yet another Domestic airport – Hindon, in the National Capital Region. Our expansion into Hindon is a strategic move offering an additional gateway for millions in the wider catchment area. With over 70 weekly departures to eight key cities, our endeavour is to increase travel convenience, drive business mobility and foster economic growth. The ever- developing airport infrastructure in India allows us to provide convenient flight options and enhanced connections.”
Strategically located in Ghaziabad district, Hindon is emerging as a vital urban and industrial centre within the NCR, thanks to its proximity to Noida and East Delhi. With a strong mix of residential areas, industrial zones, and educational institutions, and anchored by the Hindon Air Force Station, the region is well-poised for continued growth. These new air routes will further catalyze regional development by connecting travellers to India’s most vibrant destinations, combining ease of access with cultural discovery.
