IndiGo to Start Direct Mumbai-Adampur Flights

IndiGo is set to begin daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and Adampur, located in Punjab’s Jalandhar district, starting July 2, 2025. This new route designates Adampur as IndiGo’s 92nd domestic and 133rd overall destination, further expanding its national presence and enhancing regional air connectivity. The service is tailored to meet the needs of both business and leisure travellers, offering a quicker and more convenient link between India’s financial capital and Punjab’s cultural hub.

Adampur lies along the Jalandhar–Hoshiarpur road and is known for the historic Adampur Air Force Station. The town’s combination of cultural heritage and urban growth makes it an appealing stop for visitors. Key attractions include Rangla Punjab Haveli, Devi Talab Mandir, Wonderland Theme Park, and Pushpa Gujral Science City.

Vinay Malhotra, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, highlighted the airline’s commitment to regional development through better connectivity. “We are proud to offer direct flights between Mumbai and Adampur, unlocking affordable travel while supporting tourism and economic growth,” he said. With this launch, Adampur also becomes IndiGo’s 55th domestic and 77th overall destination served from Mumbai.

This new air route is part of IndiGo’s broader growth strategy and responds to rising passenger demand from emerging cities. With plans to add 80 more aircraft by early FY26, IndiGo’s expanding network is poised to significantly contribute to domestic tourism and business travel across the country.
