Korea Tourism Organization Hosts 2025 MICE Roadshow in Mumbai

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) India successfully organized the Korea MICE Roadshow 2025 on June 5 in Mumbai. The event was designed to showcase Korea’s rising appeal as a destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) travel, while also strengthening ties with India’s travel trade, corporate sector, and media.

The roadshow spotlighted Korea’s key MICE offerings, including its incentive support program, streamlined visa facilitation for MICE groups, and world-class convention infrastructure. KTO also highlighted the extensive support available for Indian MICE travelers to Korea—such as the Korea MICE Group Visa, which provides benefits like visa fee exemptions, fast-track processing, and simplified documentation for eligible group travelers.

KTO further elaborated on its MICE Support Program, which includes a wide range of benefits—from souvenirs and experience-based fees to tailored support for gala dinners, live performances, charter transportation, K-pop booths, Korean food trucks, and trip highlight videos. The level of support is scaled based on group size and needs, with optional add-ons like cultural programs, welcome receptions, and team-building experiences.

Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director, India & SAARC Countries, KTO, remarked: “It was a pleasure to see such strong participation in Mumbai, with over 150 attendees including MICE travel agents, corporates, and media. This level of interest reflects the growing curiosity about Korea as a compelling new destination for business and incentive travel. With our dedicated support programs, we are confident Korea will become a preferred choice for the Indian market.”

A major highlight of the event was the felicitation of Indian actress Hina Khan, who was named the Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism. Her official appointment took place on May 9, 2025, during a ceremony at the KTO Seoul Center (HiKr Ground). She recently participated in a KTO-organized familiarization trip covering Seoul, Gangwon State, and Incheon.

Speaking at the event, Hina Khan shared: “I am truly grateful to be named the Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism. My recent trip to Korea was eye-opening—from walking through famous K-Drama locations to enjoying thoughtfully prepared vegetarian meals. Korea feels both modern and rooted, and I believe Indian travellers will connect deeply with what it offers. It’s a destination that stays with you.”

The event wrapped up with a KTO presentation, a K-themed lucky draw, and a networking lunch. The Korea MICE Roadshow 2025 proved to be a dynamic platform for dialogue, partnership development, and sparking new opportunities for MICE travel from India to Korea.
