Lemon Tree to Open 5-Star Aurika Hotel in Delhi’s Nehru Place
Lemon Tree Hotels announced that its material subsidiary, Fleur Hotels, has been awarded licence rights by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for a prominent land parcel in Nehru Place, New Delhi. The Letter of Award (LoA) was issued on 14 August 2025, following Fleur Hotels’ success in the bidding process for the 2.256-acre site situated in one of Delhi’s leading commercial districts.
Development of Aurika, Nehru Place
The licence permits the development and operation of a 5-star luxury hotel under Lemon Tree’s upper upscale brand, Aurika. The property, named Aurika, Nehru Place, will be the brand’s first hotel in the National Capital Region (NCR).
The LoA is valid for 12 months from issuance and is subject to conditions outlined by the DDA and tender requirements.
Design, Capacity, and Amenities
The upcoming project will cover the design, construction, and management of the luxury hotel. Aurika, Nehru Place, will feature over 500 rooms, positioning it among the largest hotels in Delhi. Guests can expect premium accommodations, signature restaurants, large banqueting facilities, and leisure amenities.
Inspired by Aurika, Mumbai SkyCity, the property will combine grandeur with a distinctive Delhi touch, appealing to business travellers and leisure guests alike.
Leadership Statement
Commenting on the development, Patanjali Keswani, Chairman and Managing Director of Lemon Tree Hotels, said: “Delhi has always been a strategic focus for us. Aurikas entry will deliver a luxury experience thats about living, not just staying a landmark in style, comfort, and service for the region.”
“It was on the directions of lieutenant governor VK Saxena that DDA decided to move away from the existing freehold and perpetual lease models and chose a ‘special licence property’ mode to offer lands for prominent projects on annual incremental licence fee,” an official said.
