Mahindra Aerostructures Bags $300M Aernnova Deal, Boosts India’s Aerospace Edge

In a significant stride for India’s aerospace ambitions, Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt. Ltd. (MASPL)—part of the $20 billion Mahindra Group—has sealed a landmark multi-year contract valued at approximately $300 million with Spain’s Aernnova Aerospace SAU.

This pivotal agreement will see MASPL producing metal sub-assemblies and components for a suite of Airbus aircraft platforms and several Embraer programs, including the C390 Millennium military transport aircraft—further anchoring India’s position on the global aerospace map.

Representing one of the largest aerospace orders in MASPL’s journey, the deal also deepens a trusted partnership that took root in 2013. Under this contract, MASPL will supply high-precision assemblies to Aernnova’s facilities across Spain, the UK, Portugal, and Brazil—strengthening its standing as a key link in the company’s international aerostructures value chain.

For Aernnova, a world-renowned aerostructures manufacturer catering to leading names like Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer, this partnership is instrumental in scaling up production to meet global demand.

From initial support in facility development and skill-building, to deeper integration after Aernnova’s 2020 acquisition of Hamble Aerostructures in the UK (an MASPL customer), the alliance has matured through a series of technical and strategic initiatives—culminating in this multi-year commitment.

MASPL’s advanced manufacturing facility near Bengaluru is a showcase of India’s aerospace capability, with end-to-end production of components, sub-assemblies, and aerostructures. The plant is AS9100D certified, holds six NADCAP accreditations, and carries several OEM recognitions, including Aero Excellence ratings—solidifying its place as one of the country’s top-tier aerospace suppliers.
