Minimalist Hotels to Open Second Property in Varanasi

In a move that reinforces its growing presence in India’s sacred travel circuits, Minimalist Hotels has launched its second property in Varanasi, one of the country’s most spiritually significant destinations. Officially opened on 15th June 2025, the new hotel — Minimalist Hotel: The Varanasi Edit — is a refined response to the increasing demand for elevated, design-forward stays in the holy city.

A Thoughtful Addition to the Varanasi Hospitality Scene

Located in DIG Colony, just 2 km from the brand’s debut property, the new hotel offers 24 meticulously curated rooms that speak to both form and function. The expansion reflects Minimalist Hotels’ mission to serve the modern-day traveller seeking comfort, calm, and cultural immersion — whether they’re here on a spiritual journey, a cultural exploration, or a leisurely escape.

“Our first hotel in Varanasi saw consistent high occupancy, especially during spiritual and cultural seasons,” said Gautam Munjal, Founder of Minimalist Hotels. “Opening a second property allowed us to better serve guests while reinforcing our commitment to the region’s hospitality landscape.”

Perfectly Timed for the Tourism Wave

“The launch came just ahead of the anticipated increase in travel during events like the Kumbh Mela,” added Gautam Munjal. “This timing allowed us to meet the rising demand and further cement our position as a premium yet approachable hospitality brand.”
