Olive unveils AI-powered Open Hotels, targets ₹200 cr revenue by FY26

In a bold move that redefines the budget and midscale hospitality landscape, Bengaluru-based Embassy Group’s hospitality arm, Olive, has launched Open Hotels — a fully remote-operated, AI-native hotel brand. This tech-forward sub-brand is set to onboard 130 hotels and aims to generate ₹200 crore in revenue within the current financial year.

At the heart of Open Hotels is a transformative operating model. Instead of the traditional front desk, the brand offers a centralised live video reception, enabling real-time guest interaction without the need for an on-site concierge. While core operational staff remain present at each hotel, this setup slashes the staff-to-room ratio from 0.7 to 0.3, achieving a remarkable 57% boost in operational efficiency.

Kahraman Yigit, CEO and Co-founder of Olive by Embassy, explains the vision: “Hospitality is all about the human touch. Technology is enhancing that by taking over the routine tasks, which frees us to focus more on our guests and the experiences we create for them. It’s not replacing hospitality, it is elevating it. We also expect generative AI to play a role in this space.”

Open Hotels offers two distinct models. The franchise model allows hotel owners to run their own teams while leveraging Open’s proprietary tech stack. Alternatively, owners can opt for a fully managed solution with operations handled remotely via Open’s AI command centre. Both models are designed to be plug-and-play and require no upfront capital expenditure.

Open Hotels is not just an operational overhaul—it’s a vision of hospitality where technology augments, rather than replaces, human connection. As more properties sign on, this pioneering model promises to reshape how guests experience affordable, high-quality stays in India.

Yigit further said, “We were the first to run hotel receptions through video conferencing. Once we layered in Voice AI and analytics, guest satisfaction and profit margins surged.”
