PM Modi Launches ₹12,000 Cr Development Projects in Gaya

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth ₹12,000 crore in Gaya, covering key sectors such as energy, healthcare, and urban development. Addressing the gathering from the sacred land of Vishnupad Temple, the Prime Minister paid homage to Gaya ji’s spiritual heritage and reaffirmed the Centre and State Government’s commitment to Bihar’s rapid growth.

The Prime Minister highlighted the inauguration of a new hospital and research centre in the state, strengthening healthcare facilities including cancer treatment. He also underscored the government’s commitment to housing, noting that over 4 crore pucca houses have been built nationwide in the last 11 years, including 38 lakh in Bihar and 2 lakh in Gaya district alone. He announced that 16,000 families in Magadh have recently received homes under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Shri Modi emphasized the government’s efforts to expand Bihar’s industrial and energy infrastructure. He announced major power projects including the Buxar Thermal Power Plant, Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, and a new plant at Pirpainti, Bhagalpur. He further informed that the largest industrial area in Bihar is coming up in Dobhi, Gaya, alongside a new technology centre.

Highlighting employment opportunities, the Prime Minister lauded the transparent teacher recruitment drive under Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar and announced that the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana will provide financial incentives to youth entering private sector jobs.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the government’s stance against corruption, announcing plans for a stringent anti-corruption law applicable even to the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, and Ministers. He reiterated his government’s resolve to eliminate infiltrators through the upcoming Demography Mission, ensuring the protection of opportunities and resources for Bihar’s youth.

Shri Modi concluded by stressing the importance of Bihar’s development for India’s progress, assuring that Centre and State governments will continue to work together for the state’s comprehensive growth.

The event was attended by Bihar Governor Shri Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, and Union Ministers Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Shri Jitan Ram Manji, Shri Giriraj Singh, Shri Chirag Paswan, Shri Nityanand Rai, Shri Ram Nath Thakur, Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary, and Shri Satish Chandra Dubey.
