Radisson Hotel Group has announced the opening of two new properties under its design-driven midscale lifestyle brand, Prize by Radisson, further expanding its footprint in the Norwegian city of Bergen. With these additions, Radisson now operates a cluster of five hotels in the UNESCO World Heritage City, solidifying its presence in one of Norway’s most visited destinations.

Two Distinct New Hotels in Bergen

The larger of the two new properties, Prize by Radisson Solheimsviken Bergen, features 217 rooms and is located approximately two kilometres from the city centre. Designed for modern travellers seeking stylish comfort at accessible pricing, the hotel embraces the brand’s fresh, contemporary identity.

For guests who prefer a central location, the new Prize by Radisson, exhibition Bergen City offers a niche hospitality experience within the exhibition shopping centre. This intimate 55-room property places travellers right in the heart of Bergen’s urban lifestyle scene.

A Fresh and Modern Approach to Lifestyle Hospitality

Prize by Radisson is positioned as a midscale lifestyle brand with a bold, design-led personality. Interiors lean heavily on geometric shapes, vibrant patterns and modern aesthetics, while service is warm, informal and intuitive.

The brand is crafted for flexibility, making it suitable for both new-build projects and conversion developments a strategy that supports Radisson’s rapid expansion across Europe.

Bergen: A Strategic Location for Brand Growth

With these openings, Radisson now operates five hotels in Bergen, a city globally recognised for its UNESCO-listed Bryggen wharf, colourful wooden facades and strong year-round tourism demand. Among Radisson’s existing properties in the city is the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, located near the iconic waterfront.

The group’s Bergen cluster also includes:

  • Magic Kloverhuset Harbour Hotel
  • Magic Hotel Bergen City Center

Both properties are part of the Radisson Individuals collection, catering to travellers who appreciate distinctive, independently styled accommodations backed by global hospitality standards and Radisson’s loyalty network.

In 2024, the brand underwent a strategic rebranding to Prize by Radisson, aligning it more closely with the group’s global portfolio. Since then, Radisson has expressed ambitious plans to expand the brand across international markets, including Ireland, the UK and Poland.

A Strong and Growing Presence in Germany
