Strategically located along New Marine Drive and just five kilometres from the iconic Jagannath Temple, the hotel aims to elevate Odisha’s hospitality landscape in line with the state’s broader vision of promoting religious, cultural, and coastal tourism. Set along the Bay of Bengal, the project will contribute to regional tourism by enhancing infrastructure and introducing branded hospitality offerings.
The agreement was formalised in the presence of Bishnu Panda, Director, Panda Resorts Pvt Ltd; Prasant Nanda, CFO, Panda Resorts Pvt Ltd; Rajesh Ranjan, Senior Vice President – Development, Sarovar Hotels; Ankush Sharma, Director – Development, Sarovar Hotels; and Sandeep Roy, Founder and CEO, SeaHorse Hospitality Consulting Services.

The firm’s regional expertise and deal-making capabilities played a pivotal role in aligning the long-term goals of both stakeholders.
The proposed Sarovar Portico, Puri will feature 70 well-appointed rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, conference and banquet spaces, a rooftop grill and bar, swimming pool, fitness centre, and spa. Designed to accommodate a broad spectrum of travellers—from pilgrims and destination wedding guests to corporate teams and inbound tourists—the hotel aims to deliver quality hospitality in Puri’s sacred setting.
This project further strengthens Sarovar Hotels’ footprint in Eastern India and signifies a new era for Puri’s hospitality sector, as the region sees growing infrastructure development and increased tourism-driven investment.
