Singapore Strengthens Tourism Ties with India in Its 60th Diplomatic Anniversary Year

As Singapore and India celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has launched a special tourism campaign titled “Just Between Us Friends.” The initiative highlights the long-standing friendship between the two nations while offering exclusive perks to Indian travellers throughout 2025.

The campaign comes at a time when Singapore continues to be one of the most popular destinations for Indian tourists, thanks to its world-class attractions, multicultural experiences, and seamless connectivity.

Indian Arrivals Grow as Singapore Rolls Out Exclusive Perks

Between January and September 2025, Singapore welcomed 923,211 visitors from India, marking a 3% year-on-year increase. India remains one of Singapore’s most important tourism markets, and the growth underscores the appeal of the island nation for family trips, business travel, MICE events, and festive getaways.

To build on this momentum, the STB has introduced new partnerships, targeted marketing initiatives, and promotional sales campaigns to drive deeper engagement with Indian travellers.

“Just Between Us Friends”: A Campaign to Celebrate Bilateral Friendship

Launched at the start of 2025, “Just Between Us Friends” commemorates the six-decade-long relationship between India and Singapore. As part of the initiative, Indian visitors enjoy:

  • Exclusive discounts and perks across attractions, dining, retail, and entertainment
  • Special travel packages in collaboration with airlines and travel platforms
  • Enhanced engagement initiatives, including cultural tie-ins and local experiences

The campaign aims to make travel more rewarding for Indian guests, positioning Singapore as a destination that feels both exciting and welcoming.

Tourism Promotions Aligned with Singapore’s Festive Season

Singapore’s iconic year-end festivities including Christmas Wonderland, Marina Bay Countdown celebrations, and universal holiday attractions are expected to draw significant footfall from India.

“As Singapore ramps up for the festive season, we are excited to offer Indian travellers attractive packages and exclusive experiences,” an STB spokesperson shared.

A Milestone Year for Singapore-India Tourism Collaboration

With strong arrival numbers, engaging campaigns, and deep-rooted cultural ties, 2025 marks a milestone in Singapore-India tourism. The “Just Between Us Friends” initiative reaffirms Singapore’s commitment to delivering memorable, personalised experiences for Indian travellers.
