Swiggy has entered a strategic partnership with upGrad through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding access to higher education and professional development for its delivery partners. The initiative provides frontline executives with university-recognised programmes, industry certifications, and essential workplace skills tailored to the needs of India’s rapidly growing last-mile delivery workforce.
Creating New Pathways for Frontline Workforce Education
Many delivery partners face significant challenges when pursuing higher education due to financial constraints, time limitations, or personal responsibilities. Addressing this gap, the Swiggy–upGrad partnership will offer academic programmes at reduced fees, supported by need-based scholarships designed specifically for delivery professionals.
As part of the collaboration, partners will also gain access to upGrad’s Career Udaan Pack, which focuses on communication, digital fluency, and job-readiness.
