TFS to Expand Lounge Network in Asia-Pacific and West Asia
Travel Food Services (TFS) is set to expand its airport lounge business across the Asia-Pacific and West Asia regions, following strong customer feedback from its recently launched lounge in Hong Kong. CEO Varun Kapur expressed confidence in scaling up international operations over the mid-term, as global air travel sees steady recovery.
TFS currently operates 37 lounges—28 in India, eight in Malaysia, and one in Hong Kong. Its Indian presence includes major hubs like the Adani Lounge at Mumbai T2 and the 080 Lounge at Bengaluru airport. The company has also secured food and beverage concessions at the upcoming Noida Airport, further bolstering its domestic presence.
Beyond lounges, TFS also operates a robust travel quick-service restaurant (QSR) network with 384 outlets at 13 Indian airports, 29 in Malaysian airports, and another 29 along national highways. Its food brand portfolio features a mix of global and local names including KFC, Pizza Hut, Third Wave Coffee, and Krispy Kreme. Kapur sees significant growth potential in India’s underpenetrated air travel and QSR market.
Part of the K Hospitality Corp and backed by the Kapur Family Trust, TFS is preparing to launch a ₹2,000 crore initial public offering (IPO) on July 7. The IPO is structured entirely as an offer-for-sale (OFS) by the promoter group. With India’s airport passenger-to-population ratio still trailing global benchmarks, TFS aims to leverage rising domestic and international travel demand and expanding infrastructure at airports and highways to fuel its next phase of growth.
