Vanity Group Joins Canopy’s Pack4Good Initiative to Promote Forest-Friendly Packaging
Vanity Group has announced its partnership with Canopy’s Pack4Good initiative, reinforcing its commitment to removing Ancient and Endangered Forests from its paper packaging supply chains and promoting lower-impact, circular alternatives. This move reflects a growing industry shift toward environmentally responsible sourcing, especially within sectors like hospitality where packaging plays a major role in ecological impact.
Why Sustainable Packaging Matters More Than Ever
From shipping boxes to amenity kits, paper packaging is deeply embedded in the hospitality sector. However, its environmental footprint is significant. Each year, more than 3.1 billion trees are logged to produce paper packaging many sourced from the world’s most climate-critical forests.
By choosing circular, recycled, and forest-free materials, hospitality brands like Vanity Group can not only reduce their environmental footprint but also future-proof their operations against evolving global sustainability expectations and regulatory requirements.
A Commitment Beyond Aesthetics
Speaking on the partnership, Belinda Shu, Global Head of Quality, Regulatory and ESG at Vanity Group, emphasized the company’s holistic approach to luxury and responsibility: “As a global leader in luxury hotel cosmetics, Vanity Group is committed to protecting people and the planet while curating exceptional guest experiences. By partnering with Canopy through Pack4Good, we’re taking action to protect the world’s forests and reduce our environmental footprint by sourcing pulp, paper, packaging, and textiles responsibly. Together, we’re creating meaningful change one guest experience at a time.”
This reflects Vanity Group’s belief that true luxury is rooted in both exceptional quality and environmental integrity.
Transforming the Paper Packaging Supply Chain
By joining Pack4Good, Vanity Group becomes part of a global network of more than 400 companies including some of the world’s largest fashion labels, publishers, and personal care brands working with Canopy to revolutionize the paper packaging sector.
The initiative focuses on accelerating the adoption of:
- Recycled materials
- Low-impact paper alternatives
- Next Generation fibers derived from agricultural residues and other waste-based feedstocks
These innovations help reduce pressure on forests while building more resilient, climate-aligned supply chains.
A New Standard for Modern Luxury
Nicole Rycroft, Founder and Executive Director of Canopy, welcomed the partnership: “Vanity Group is setting a new bar for what modern luxury can look like chic, sophisticated, and aligned with our planet’s needs. We’re thrilled to welcome them to Pack4Good and to accelerate the shift away from forest-based packaging together.”
With this collaboration, Vanity Group reinforces its position as a leader in sustainable luxury, redefining how hospitality brands can merge aesthetics, responsibility, and innovation.
