Vietjet Finalises Landmark Order with Airbus and Rolls-Royce to Boost Global Expansion

Vietjet has taken a significant leap in its long-term growth strategy by finalising a landmark order for 100 Airbus A321neo aircraft and signing a major US$3.8 billion agreement with Rolls-Royce for 92 Trent 7000 engines. These strategic deals mark a pivotal moment in the airline’s journey toward expanding its international presence and modernising its fleet.

The announcements were made during the official visit of Vietnam’s General Secretary To Lam to the United Kingdom, a historic event coinciding with the elevation of Vietnam–UK relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

A Major Milestone for Vietjet’s Fleet Modernisation

The newly confirmed order of 100 Airbus A321neo jets strengthens Vietjet’s position as one of Asia’s most dynamic and ambitious low-cost carriers. The new fleet will enhance operational efficiency, fuel savings, and sustainability as the airline prepares for long-term global expansion.

In parallel, Vietjet’s agreement with Rolls-Royce includes 92 Trent 7000 engines supported by TotalCare® maintenance services, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for the airline’s growing wide-body operations.
